It was announced that the popular career-tech platform ‘Localized’ operating across the MENA region has managed to secure about $2.2M Seed Investment Round. The round was from Trend Forward Capital, One Planet VC, Angel Ventures, Next Wave Impact, Bisk Ventures, Joshua Mailman, US News Digital Ventures, and angel investor Esther Dyson. ‘Localized’ was founded by Ronit Avni back in 2017 and ever since its foundation, it has been working pretty seriously on career developing programs. They unlock educated talents for global companies and employers recruit from schools without having to attend in-person career fairs which is pretty convenient in its own ways. Even the students get more industry insights from the platforms’ top professionals who might or might not be from the same region and similar sectors.

“As companies look for diverse, world-class talent, Localized fills a critical need. We led this funding round after hearing from satisfied customers and seeing the traction firsthand over the last 2 years. We are strong believers in Ronit and the team that she has assembled and the opportunity that was accelerated by COVID. No one would disagree that the current process for students to find their dream job is broken. We believe Ronit and the amazing team she’s assembled have exactly what it takes to disrupt the career industry globally.” said Jonathan Chang from Trend Forward Capital.
